Dr Philipose Mar Chryosostom Thirumeni
and the Joseph Family

Chrysostom Thirumeni who belongs to the Kalamannil branch of the Adangapurathu family has a long history of close association with the
Joseph family as evidenced by this somewhat faded picture taken before he was consecrated a bishop. He visited Mombasa, Kenya and stayed with the family for several
days.
This picture was probably taken around 1952 - based on the probable ages of some of the
younger Joseph children in the picture. Also, he was consecrated bishop in 1953

In 2002, he presided over a gathering of Adangapurathu family members residing in the US which was held in New Jersey and the
picture to the right was taken with some of the
members of the Joseph family. Shown in the picture with thirumeni are from left to right Peter, Shiny, Sarah, Susannah, Emmy, Leela & George.
