George visited Canada and the US during September 2008 where he had been invited to make presentations on multi-cultural mathematics and related subjects.

These presentations were in academic settings in Toronto, Chicago and Washington DC. The one in DC was on "The Politics of Writing Histories of Non-Western Mathematics" and was hosted by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA). This presentation was video taped and parts of it appear on Youtube. There is additional information on this link at the website of the MAA.
