Guestbook for the Joseph Family Website

As the founder of The Gandheeya Navasakthi SNGHAM fellowship in Thiruvananthapuram, of which the Chengannur Branch, has been registered as directed by me, I have been actively involved for the past several years, in the project for the construction of the CHENGANNUR-KOTTARAKARA-TRIVANDRUM CENTRAL trunk route railway extension.

In some of my correspndence with Uniion Railway Minister, I have mentioned that his Ministry must remember that Chengannur is the birth place of the renowned Mr.George Joseph, who was a pioneer of the Indian National Congress's agitation for India's independence.

In a reminder to the present Chief Minister of Kerala, I wanted to bring this to his attention. So I tried to get some information about him from IT,and was pleasantly surprised to get some details, and to find out that a biography of him has been written by his grandson George Ghevarghese Joseph, published by Orient Longman.

I have been endeavouring for about 19 years now to get the above mentioned railway line constructed

As an octogenarian now, I would request some of the progeny of the late illustrious Shri George Joseph to carry on this struggle,

Apart from that I would like all of you his descendants ,either throgh his sons or daughters, to try to establish a suitable memorial for him in Chengannur, and to establish a committee for its implementation.

I am interested to hear from anybody willing to support either the railway extension project or the memorial for the great Indian nationalist, the late Shri George Joseph

The Oorayil family has it's roots in the 9th century West Asian migration to Kollam, Kerala , as against the observation in this website and the book 'George Joseph - the life and times of a Kerala Christian Nationalist'

For more details on the history of Oorayil family refer the Family history book of Kallada Thulassery manapurathu or search the thulasserymanapurathu website on google.

I am Alex Thomas who is residing in the Oorayil ancestral property from where C.I Joseph shifted to the aquired property in Chengannur and established the OorayilPuthenpurayil branch .

During the three years that I spent at ~AVHS, Mr. A. G. Joseph’s teaching method and live participation made me realise the importance of reading good literature.

It was because of his beneficial influence that I have become an avid reader of quality literature that has enriched my life beyond expectation.

I owe him a debt of gratitude and remember him every time I pick up a book. He was a tower of strength to all his students.

Hi All, Nice to know the root history and people from past, and more happy over the fact that Blessed virgin Mary is the solid foundation of the Great family development----still some doubt.

My family name is "Edappallil" we are basically from Kalakety near Kanjirappally " --any clue about these link? Can somebody throws some light on this? Appreciate the great effort by AG Joseph.

Regards

Boby Mathew
